Five credited screenwriters, an opening in December 2001, and a critical burial: 32% on Rotten Tomatoes, 32 on Metacritic, a C+ from audiences. Roger Ebert gave it two stars out of four, admitted he laughed a few times, and said it was nowhere near as often as he had at American Pie or Scary Movie. An "unrated extended" cut arrived on disc in 2005 running ten minutes longer, and there's a gag mid-credits and another one after them.
