A bowl of warm white rice crowned with neat piles of separately seasoned vegetables, a spoonful of fermented red chilli paste, and often sliced meat and a fried egg. Everything is stirred together thoroughly just before eating. Served in a heated stone bowl, the rice at the bottom crisps into a golden crust.
